4x4 Off Road

Finally got back to shooting! Was lucky to shoot the Holley EFI Breakout in Nevada. Great track and there were only a handful of us media folks. Here's a couple of pics I got

I digitized some old slides of mine from 1996 of a trail ride in my Land Rover

How about a couple videos? They are pretty bad but it is off roading.

Ultra 4 Class action, Including the new Ford Bronco
This Bronco lead most of the first lap, to only suffer several flats and ended up finishing in the top 5 overall.

Awesome captures. From what I’m hearing it sounds like the event was a success which is an awesome win for the off-road community with all the madness going on.

Thank you for the compliment. Based upon the number of trailers and motor homes i would venture to guess it was a huge success, I have not attended for several years and they definitely expanded the amount of races. As far as I was able to tell, a large majority of the fans spend the week out there.

I also haven’t been in years but yes, most commonly people stay about a week.

I may have not made it to KOH but I’m pumped for TDS Jeep Safari..

Yeah the numbers were really low when compared to years past for both media, teams and spectators but it was still a fun time but I think next year will be insane. I usually stay for 4-5 days but my friends did the whole Sunday to Sunday stay and that's bit long for me.
This year makes it my 10th KOH and 2nd year as media shooting. I finally finished going through my photos yesterday and here are a couple:

I enjoy the desert, desert racing and outdoors and pretty much all outdoor sports, but it would be a stretch for me to spend a week out there in anything but the largest motorhome made....lol It was cold at night and very dusty on the second weekend.

Maybe our paths will cross out there next year.

the first photo was taken right in front of Backdoor where it splits of to the optional portion of the course and the second was taken near the inner track during the qualifying for the 4400 Class. there's a nice section to hang out and get photos during the qualifying for all of the classes.

Yeah, for the last 2 years, it's been downright miserable in terms of weather being stupid cold. This year it was pretty decent during the day and very tolerable during the night. I always worry about my gear and dust and didn't bring my laptop this year because of that.

Definitely shoot me a message if you attend next year. I should be there shooting for the same folks as I have done in the past

The Tierra Del Sol Jeep Safari or “TDS” is done out by the Salton Sea past Indio every first weekend of March. It’s not a race or anything like KOH, more just a casual laid back off-roading event that usually draws Alot of people due to the pretty sweet terrain and due to the event being put on for so long now. I think this year will be the 59th annual event.
