Thank you for the details Alvaro, looks like a lot of fun.

Is there a particular meeting spot and time? Camping ? Dry, I assume? GPS coordinates of the location? PM them to me if they are private please. Single day event?

I will look forward to your reply.

Mark

Sure thing - here is the TDS Jeep club website along with a few other site with some information:

Yes - dry & camping is allowed. It is normally the first weekend in March so this 59th annual event is from 4/5-7. I can’t really find a place that has the coordinates but I will screenshots the location:

It is off the 86 highway which you get to from the 10 freeway near Indio. Then you will make a right into Marina Dr which will take you into the camp grounds. You can also camp in Ocotillo Wells but Marina Dr. gets you closer to the terrain.

Ok Alvaro90, I'll admit it's early in the morning. But I thought I was going crazy until I realized you had the map upside down. Most of the time, people display maps with North pointing up. I just couldn't figure out how the Salton Sea and El Centro were north of the 10. LOL

Excellent work Alvaro!

The big guy with mask in the second shot makes me think of Lord Humungus from the Mad Max film series.

Thank you. Haha - yes! Couldn’t have said it better. There were some crazy Mad Max looking vehicles there too - look at this thing:

Thanks!
I said the same thing myself :-D
I think he rigged the frame to hydraulically extend - so much engineering involved but it looks like a vehicle one would use in the apocalypse.
