An "like new" Sony 20mm 1.8 G popped up on their sight. Called in to chat about it, Sean was very helpful and I ordered it.

It will be my main lens for me as I film myself doing astrophotography in the backyard, with a Sony A7Siii, and once milky way season is more prominent.. It will be my main lens for the Milky Way.

I kind of have to pinch myself because my initial photography is quite expensive. But, I can't find another combination out there that can justify my astrophotography related needs.

I am very excited to start learning basic photography.

Congrats! Looks like a great lens that one

One of the main reasons why I got the Pixma Pro 100 is that it prints onto CD or DVD disks. I used to create a lot of CDs of cruise books from the USS Oriskany for my website and offered them on a printed CD and in a printed DVD case. I didn't see anything regarding the Pro 200 that offers that feature if that's meaningful to you at all. I suppose laser disks are becoming obsolete now anyway.

I think European versions of Canon's printers have had that capability for a long time. It's only been allowed here in the US fairly recently.

Yeah the 100s that I had could do it too but I never have, not sure if the 200 can though. I don’t even have a CD drive on my PC anymore though

A cousin of mine told me about a new animation tool at the MyHeritage website that will animate a photo of a person's face. She sent me a couple of examples she made using this tool and I merged them together for my Youtube channel to share. The people are on my mother's side, her grandfather and grandmother when they were younger. Both females are of the same person.

It's pretty amazing what they can do nowadays although I'm not sure that just because they can, you should.

Here's the short video clip.

That’s pretty amazing. I’ve got an iPhone app called avatarify and it allows you to upload a photo and then it animates it to a song that you choose from the various options. It’s quite funny but also mind boggling as some of them come out very real looking

Wow! There is something a little unsettling about this but I don't know why. I guess it's the whole incongruent imagery thing for me.

Group,

May I contribute photos from a non-Sony body, but uses a Sony sensor?

I am originally an astrophotographer, and will remain so for 90% of my time. But I recently purchase an A7Siii to up my video game under low-light, and a lens with it as well. So I decided to join the forum and share some of my pictures too.

However, while I wait to complete my 20mm 1.8 lens, I have recently upgraded my Canon dSLR to a dedicated astro camera. It is not a Sony body, but it uses Sony's IMX571 sensor. I've looked across, this seems like the go-to sensor for APS-C sized astro camera.

Here is my Altair Hypercam 26C, one shot colored camera. If it is ok, I will share my images with this camera as well once I have learned how to use it:
