A different type of aviation. These parakites reminded me of soap bubbles.

This may be the most congested parakite site I have seen. Not sure if your location NE USA refers to Nebraska or the northeast, but in either case I knew this had to be from far away.

NE = Nebraska. I'm amazed they avoid one another

The image below is another operator. You can see the "aircraft carrier" in the bottom right third of the image- they take off and land where those people are standing.

Went out birding the other day and was barely out of the car when some Ospreys flew over.

That's certainly true. I've only seen these flying a couple of times and this was the first time I was able to get pictures. The avian Ospreys should be showing up soon.

I do hope those brown stains on the belly are not coming from the cockpit area.

My father's photo of a glider in Jyväskylä, Finland, probably taken in the springwinter of 1944 as the man half-showing on the left is wearing army uniform. They plowed snow off the lake ice to make a runway and towed the glider up into air with a truck and a long rope.

Sorry about the quality, but it's been dragged off of a video clip.

You want low? I have low

Britannia XM496 doing a low fast pass before landing for the final time at MOD Kemble, Wiltshire. She is now being looked after by this lot. It's quite strange because she was one of the Brits at R.A.F. Lyneham when I was stationed there in the early 60s and was one of the aircraft I helped to keep in the air as an aircraft eleky.
