Forty five minutes later. Imperfect framing driven by the only support I could find for a five second exposure being at quite an angle; I had to crop back to horizontal in post and in the process trimmed part of each palm tree either side of the image. Out of the camera apart from the mentioned crop.

Thanks, Charles! Looking at the EXIF info, those two snaps were probably 15 seconds apart. Heading back home from the Gulf coast, it was a lucky break driving through that wind turbine farm at sunset. Out the car window, I took over 50 photos in 14 minutes. :-)

Colombo sunset over the Laccadive sea.
Yesterday, 3rd March 2021.
An Indian Airforce Tejas training aircraft taking part in the first of three Sri Lankan Air Force 70th anniversary displays over three consecutive days.

Back button servo focus, track, press and hold the shutter, close eyes, keep tracking in the same direction - and hope you have the shot you wanted. I've never before shot an air display that started in the last hour of daylight, never mind entirely in to the setting sun.

Thanks, DM. The first pic was tweaked a bit with DxO, the second was pretty much out of the camera jpeg ... it was a beautiful sunset.
