We likely all prefer natural settings for birds but never having photographed a Peregrine Falcon, I dashed to an abandoned water Tower in Baltimore where a pair was nesting.

That's a really cool shot.
Very nice expression on his/her face.

Thanks so much, Kartsahoo! I like the expression too, though it seems he's thinking he'd rather have me anywhere but there. ;-)a

Kartsahoo, your comment prompted me to go back and figure this one's gender. I'm pretty sure it's a she. First, under the neck and on the upper breast is a reddish beige color rather than the whitish color for the male; second, females are larger than males and the one on the right (the subject of the posted image) appears larger.

Female brown headed cowbird, world's most uninteresting bird appearance wise.

This is absolutely superb. An extraordinarily beautiful bird photo that is technically perfect. Wow.

The bald eagle was not very close. I used image stabilization setting 2 and cropped the images. Yes this lens on a mirrored DSLR is heavy but worth the effort.

The great-tailed grackle girls started to show up in earnest. The boys were definitively paying attention.
