It was terrible to see. Sadly there was one fatality but based on the extent of the damage, I would have expected more.

The positive was seeing the community mobilize so fast to provide aid and assistance to those in need!

After playing around for a while with an old camera and a collection of kit lenses I decided that it is time for a decent camera and lens. Bought a second hand 80D and yesterday my new Sigma 150-600 C arrived. Here are my first attempts straight out of the camera via cellphone

I'm still learning how to use the Sigma 150-600 C, but the 80D is fantastic in my eyes

My 80D with a Sigma 18-250mm lens has made a great travel companion. I love how the wifi can download images to my iPhone.

Hey everyone looking through here I see some people running the sigma 100-400 and 150-600. im currently stuck between the two! I do alot of moon photography and do some long shots. Ive seen some say the 400 is sharper than the 600. I know with the 600 you kinda have to use a tripod and that doesnt make for quick shots, i guess if anyone has had the two or one or the other what made you decide that and how do you like it thanks in advance!

Just got a new iMac, which has prompted me to look through some old pics. Haven't used the 80D in a while, but pleased with this one.

I have both, but use the 100-400 mostly on my 6D and the 150-600 on one of my crops for moon shots and such. From my use, the 100-400 is sharper than the 150-600. The 100-400 is probably my favorite all around lens as I do use it on my crop cameras also.

6D, 6DII, 70D, 80D, R10, RP, Lumix DC-FZ80 and a bag full of lenses.

Besides dealing with all of the recent tornadoes in Alabama, I have been able to get the 80D out for some fun afternoons!

A little local Motorcycle Gymkhana in Birmingham

Was able to spend a fun afternoon with my Daughter at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens yesterday as well!

Have hardly been using my 80D since I got a 5D IV, but I attached my telephoto to it and then this plump pigeon obligingly posed for me on my lawn in the evening sun and convinced me that the 80D is still a fine camera. Thanks, pigeon.

Contrary to popular opinion - I actually enjoyed the 80d + 100-400 II > 5d IV + 1.4x + 100-400II for bird photography. 5d IV does fine "most" of the time, but I just missed to many critical shots because of the F8 AF even using center point only.

Now back doing landscapes, I do miss the 5dIV + 16-35 F4 wide angle... but we'll get back there in a bit!!!

If it were me: Use the 80d + 100-400 II combo for birds/wildlife, and the 5d IV with your choice of wide angle for everything else.

When you get to the 90d, there's a bit of improvement with the files, but Topaz denoise is an absolute requirement if you want clean looking files like you get from the 5dIV.

Interesting, Mark. Using the 80D today, I really did notice how much slower it is buffering and, of course, it doesn't have the definition of the 5D IV, but I will keep the 100-400 on the 80D and give it a run. Better than it sitting unused in its case. I'm into macro with the 5D IV at the moment. Fun but not easy!

Yeah I used the 80d on center point only focus; If you don't have topaz, try the 30 day trial for the denoise. You may be surprised!!!
