This little village is called "Amelith".
It is located in the Solling hills in the middle of Germany.

GerdW,

Thanks for posting that image, AND for telling us where it was taken.
With that village's name, I can look it up, and keep learning about Germany.

Ed: This is just stunning! Love the way the feathers are shown blowing in the wind, the crispness and the way you have arranged the shot so that the egret just jumps out of the image.

Thanks for posting.

Here is a first for me. I took a short hike today and spent some time shooting Toadshade trilliums along a trail I was hiking. Here is one of the images:

If you look closely at the top left corner of the bloom itself you will see a hint of something that looks a little interesting. I didn't see this at all until I was looking through images when I got home. I cropped out that area and enhanced it a tad just to get a better look at it:

Best I can tell it is a Green lynx spider hiding inside the bloom. It appears to be behind some web which is why it was so obscured. It is hidden well, I would have never seen it without magnification. I'm sure it won't go hungry for long! I thought this was a pretty neat occurence.

It sure is Chuck. I think I me time Ned that in the post. It is the small area with the spider.
