Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Toys. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us your Toys...

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Part of what remains of a miniature tea set, a gift from a friend of my mother when I was a suitable age for that sort of thing. Bottoms are stamped "JAPAN." I never had any tea parties, but the little saucers are useful now for carrying snacks or holding small amounts of ingredients.

Lovely shot, beautiful image and beautiful hand painted porcelain..
Oddly, I too have several pieces of tea cups and saucers..
I see it as a way to celebrate women artists at a time when their art was not really recognized.

Thank you, joayne. I think this set was a fairly high-quality thing of its kind. It doesn't seem to be hand-painted, though. Each piece has two identical copies of the moss-rose pattern. Under magnification, they look screen-printed, with many dpi.

But not since he lost a fight and needed surgery and now grooming, which has left him partially shaved.. It's too embarrassing for him to be seen on camera ... :p

Thanks for asking Kevin.. He is doing really well. He is mad and confused as to why he can't go outside.
I'm trying to turn him into an indoor cat. He has been injured so many times and he is not a fighter.
This last injury cost me a new camera and a trip to surgery. He's upset especially in the mornings,
but he is so sweet that his protests are short and rather weak. He then goes where we can't see him
or get to him and sleeps. I think he is slowly adapting... fingers crossed ;-)a

joayne, your kitty is better off indoors. I hope the transition will get easier than it seems right now. He's probably frustrated because he can't patrol his territory.

"Toys" attracted fewer photos than I expected. Don't people have homemade toys, antique toys, dog and cat toys?

I was surprised too, Look. I thought it was an opportunity to show off your toys. I could have gone on forever LoLz :-P

Yeah, I know kitty will be better off, but I like it better outside too
