There is a canal running below my apartment building. Lots of birds that I usually ignore as I'm on the third/fourth floor. It's nice to shoot some BIF, but that's mostly gulls. However, in lockdown I am spending a lot of time observing the birds and I have witnessed so much drama this past week. From Grebes dancing their mating ritual on the water to swans doing the same and mating. As well as a male Mute swan getting very agressive towards an immature Mute swan, so much so that a house boat owner intervened.

I actually have the swan ritual and mating on video. By accident. I was thinking I should try out shooting video just once. And I just pointed the camera towards the swans, for no particular reason, just trying to figure out how this video stuff works. As I was recording I suddenly realised what they were doing and then I tried to keep the camera still. I'm not going to post the video because it's really bad, shaky and the swans dancing all over the frame during the ritual. Although the mating and the afterplay are fairly stable.

I'm going to try to grab a few frames from the footage, see if I can process those. But for now just two shots of the male. Cold, colourless light though.

Sort of along these lines, I know that the pdf manual lists the Canon lenses that will achieve a full 12 fps. Any information on 3rd party lenses that will do so? For example, I have the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2

I do happen to know that all three of my G2 lenses, including the 70-200mm offer full 12 FPS on the R5.

I have only used my G2 a couple of times and not tried the H+ settings yet. Thanks for the information.

A family member named, "Nikki." The R6 was set to Auto-ISO, but I didn't pay attention to lens aperture. The first one at 100mm, and the second to 440mm (or so)

Is there a particular brightness setting for lcd and the viewfinder that people prefer for outdoor shooting. I find the images slightly overexposed (when I review them at home) vs what I thought the exposure was in bright sunlight.
