Thank you Richard!
Excellent wren! That's incredibly close for 400mm uncropped, nice job!

Thanks Mark. I was on the phone a time and suddenly these were everywhere.
Camera was handy so quickly grabbed it one handed and hoped for the best.
I got quite a few of others and was well pleased.
Really appreciate your comments.

We've had an otter visiting my wifes koi carp pond over the last week, it has eaten 20 fish in three visits leaving this half behind on visit 2. My wife is not happy and the last 4 fish have been removed for the time being. I've got some trail cam footage off the otter and a few dcent photos of the buzzard with it's dinner. Every cloud.....
common buzzard

Sid this really is very nice.
Beautiful bird and composition.
Do buzzards like otters on the menu? :-)

I hope your wife appreciates the photo

Female Gambel's Quail up close...

Really beautiful and interesting. Shows it's fancy plumage off admirably.
Very nice indeed

Great work!

Thank you for the kind words. The 50.3 megapixels of the 5DS-R allows for significant cropping before the image begins to degrade. Even more so with the 600mm f/4.

Great detail. The head plumes look like a single feather when they're running around and it's interesting when a photo shows how complex they actually are.

Thanks very much Ken.

The Inca dove surely are gorgeous, Tom! Excellent capture!

Incredibly nice close-up of the female Gambel's quail, Tom!

Thanks Mike for the kind words on both photographs.

I think it's a Scaly-breasted Munia, an exotic bird that was introduced to US and that established in some southern states.

He's so lifelike and nicely posed, fotoi! Both the colors in the water and the wood duck are really great!
