Two extremes of birds in flight. Heavy cloud cover made it difficult to get a good balance of shutter speed and ISO. The swallow was especially challenging due to the dark water over which it was flying and I had difficulty actually seeing it but the R6 grabbed focus anyway and a little help from Topaz deNoise AI to clean it up.

Danielle,
Welcome to the forum. In case the OP does not notice your post, the lens and aperture used shows up in the top of that post RF 50mm f1.8 shot at 1.8. It is not on every photo posted , but it is on a lot of them.
HTH,
Dave

I've been having a lot of fun shooting the Tree Swallows as well. They move fast! Wing blur even at 1/2000 but love the effect of the light coming through his wings.

Thank you and yes as Dave mentioned it's the RF 50mm f/1.8! I actually really like this lens compared to the STM version.

Thanks Levina. We are again having a series of cloudy days, especially in the early morning when I get out. I'm grateful for the high ISO capability of the R6.

Hi everyone, I’m new to POTN and have been reading this thread for a short time (and the R5 one) with great interest and have finally read all posts. I thoroughly enjoyed my daily lockdown read in Ireland along with the fabulous photos posted, as I agonised over the jump from DSLR to mirrorless. I think I’m finally ready to take the plunge and buy the R6. Could anyone recommend which adapter to get between the control ring and the basic adapter?

I bought the control ring version. I really have not been using it yet as far as setting the ring to change stuff but I probably will at some point. Just trying to learn all the other functions first before I expand my controls. I figured it was good to have it then I can use it or not.
