Talking to them must be a very mooooooving experience Richard

Before we moved to France we lived a couple of miles outside Stroud, Gloucestershire. It was down a small lane and out garden had 2 sides onto a field. We were literally half way up the side of a 600 foot valley and the two dry stone walls were about 6 or so foot high into the field.

Our puppy chocolate labrador, Celé used to come into the house at times and her head would be coated with a yuky, slimy substance  and we couldn't see how she was getting it? One day we were watching her in the garden and she wandered up to the edge of the wall where the cattle were close bye. They wandered over to see her and she was licking their heads and they were licking hers!

Her head was getting covered with cow slobber!

This was she, a real sod pot and beautiful with it!

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

I miss the farm. As a lad I hated it, now I'd kill to go back.

They look so content. The big surprise is their posture. I never expected sheep to sleep on their sides.

Yes the sheep sleep on their sides and especially the lambs when the sun is shining. You can almost see them growing!

Ha, they never get grafitti if I have anything to do with it. Just one coloured mark to distinguish them from the neighbour's sheep.
