If you would really give a lot to see or photograph that behavior, then you may be willing to drive a few hundred miles to have a very high probability of doing just that, because such behavior is regularly observed in Cades Cove!

There is also an area in Virginia that yields some very good Whitetail opportunities - Shenandoah National Park. . That's probably just a few hundred miles from you, as well.
.

Well, the subject of Cades Cove for Thanksgiving was brought up and now the Mrs. is looking into places to stay for the entire family. So it looks like I may be having Thanksgiving in Cades Cove this year. I wonder... if this happens, think the family will notice I'm not around much and my camera is misisng?:-P

So, with the Covid restrictions gradually being lifted, the wife says "lets go somewhere, we might see something."
Her "somewhere" was 230 miles away to the Isle of Mull and the "something" were these two.
Hard to tell who was the more surprised, the wildlife have certainly reclaimed a lot their territory back.

I love the way your wife thinks! . The more distance one is willing to cover, the more cool wildlife one is able to see and photograph. . Getting out into different habitats is necessary in order to see more diversity and different palettes of species. . You're fortunate to have such a great opportunity just a half day's drive from home! . I would love to have good deer opportunities that close to me.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Sweet image, Lester!

I love it when you can get 'em isolated against a white sky background like that!

I caught some flare with my lens as I was following a mule deer on the hillside. I thought it made a unique photo. It may not be any good, but it's unique!
