I can't imagine how much that "boy" will enjoy them when he is no longer a boy looking back on his childhood as he holds his newborn in his arms and wonders where did the time go? I can't imagine how much at this point in my life I would pay to have those photos of me in a similar setting growing up, immortalized forever. Matt

Very kind words... Thank you. I feel the same way. I grew up with a COCKER SPANIEL that didn't like any people, or any dogs... The worst http://averymckenna.smugmug.com/

They bring back lots of childhood memories for me, I grew up with a lovely golden Lab named Pal (my dad's dog), we did everything together. I was heartbroken when he crossed the rainbow bridge because I didn't understand why he wasn't there anymore (I was young). The night before I was with my father at the vet and I can vividly remember Dad carrying a "sleeping" Pal out to the car and carefully placing him in the back for the trip home. I don't know how my Dad held it together, I was running around the yard the next morning trying to find Pal, he had to be feeling better as he'd seen the doctor the night before, but he was gone, the yard was empty, my heart was broken. Dad had brought him home and buried him behind the garage. He got up and went to work, mum had no plan for dealing with me that morning. I think that is why my own fur kids have meant so much to me. Again well done, these are brilliant. I which I had photos like these to add to the memories. Phil Thanks for sharing your story. These two are about a year apart so we hopefully have a few more years left (he's 5, she's 6). What's interesting though is Kai (pup) is closer to my daughter who is 11. However my daughter is not as close to the dog as my boy. I do believe that is an age thing though. When I see the dog with the kids like in the photos I post it brings me joy. Almost as much as when my kids can play together for more than 5 minutes without arguing with each other http://averymckenna.smugmug.com/
