Looks like a snake. Am I wrong?
Regardless, it is quite a nice photo.
It may be the UK smooth snake, perhaps. It isn't a lizard, as snakes don't have eyelids and don't blink.

At first glance, it didn't look like that creature had any ability to blink. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

From weeks of too cold weather to too warm overnight. Literally. Anyway, I went out, looking for birds. And I saw a bird I hadn't photographed, nor seen before, so it's a lifer. I believe it is a Northern wheatear. A really pretty bird and very comfortable with me being there. And just as I had switched back to using the 400/5.6L as I saw Barn swallows, this White wagtail started bug hunting.Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752

(3 edits in all) | May 12, 2021 01:46 | #2396 So noticed a bit of a quirk with the auto focusing; I know dual pixel auto focus can struggle with horizontal contrast due to the way the pixels are arranged but I noticed in certain situations (in this case my sofa and my wall/skirting) even if there is a super clear contrast line (in the example of the sofa the gap between the headrest and the back cushion, it's a clear black gap separating the two parts) the camera would just refuse to lock on focus even in good light, but the same black gap vertically it'll lock on straight away. What's funny though is I tried shooting the grout line between my grey tiles which has much, much less contrast but it locks on fine no problem. https://www.tonyliuphotography.com.au/
