these Plovers live at an intersection just up the road from me.
They hog the road, love sitting in the traffic island and are completely at ease with traffic
Today I pulled up on the side road and there were about a dozen of them and then the orchestra started.
No idea what it was all about but with no traffic in sight I just sat and enjoyed their antics

Pretty sure it's just called a Silvereye. They are pretty busy at the moment (central vic area), I need to get back out there to see some more.

Dusted off the R5 and took it for a walk at the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.

An Australasian Grebe having a stretch.

Cheers

A really beautiful photo Dennis.
Never seen one out of the water yet alone close-up.
Fantastic capture.

Not spectacular but I think I got a good shot at it with the R5 + Sigma 150-600 combo. The R5 allows for rigorous cropping. :)
