Thanks! Yes, it is a lovely lens. And on my 90D it basically works its way up to a nice 55 mm at the far end.

Also, sharing your photos above with my wife - she went to Uni at Durham several years ago. She was at St Aidan's, and knew the cathedral well.. - Rob

Wow, small world! I'm sure she'll recognise this view of the Cathedral coming into view as one walks up Owengate, another from the deserted streets during the first covid lockdown last year . . .

Not a church as such, but Skeoch Hill in Irongray parish, Dumfries and Galloway. John Welsh was a Covenanter during the reformation, believed to have led a 14,000 strong congregation in the fields above the church
