Midnight Cat Studios Maxace Goliath II. Great knife, awesome flat grind. Gotta say presentation is nice, nice pouch, microfiber cloth, extra set of bearings...but, I also have to say, I've never had a knife company send a bandaid with the knife.

Playing with an idea I had for this jigsaw dragon I made a long time ago. It typically hangs on my office wall, and while looking at it one I day I had the idea to put some carbon fiber on it and use it as a background. Not quite refined, the grey carbon fiber was a quick lay on cardboard and it shows, and the dragon isn't as good as I hoped it would be...but then again it was just a random thought I had

Does it work at all?

G'day. IMO, Maybe. I think the comp needs work in the sense the knife is too small and the background dominates. The pure black color is too dominant, as-well. Basically, I see two subjects fighting for attention. There's something there in the idea because it's done all the time in product advertising, but I think you've got to get the relationship tweaked and either go all B&W, or really play up the color contrast by color replacement (either color replace the dragon to lighten it or modify it or both, or color replace some part of the knife so it stands out).

Pretty cool work on that dragon. Cheers,

Send in the clones...or attack of the clones...or whatever other clone joke you can make. Three Spyderco copies, Para 2, Amalgam, and Native 5.

No new knives for me, just the same ones to practice on. -? Made up a different background to see if it was usable for a knife shot.

Cory, I like the pocket clips with the Civivi knives. Bought a few of those clips to try on some folders that didn't come with any. (I should say didn't come with a clip, I didn't make it with a pocket clip in mind. LOL) Mine just bounce around in the depths of a pocket so this will be nice.

May have posted this prior. Had this one out to play with so it had some camera time.
