How do you find these sitting buzzards? I have only seen the one in nealy Ten years all I see now are soaring or fly overs.

P.

I've built a hide in the corner of a field that is about 3/4 mile away from any roads or buildings, the buzzards nest on the other side of a small valley and use the trees around the field here as perches to hunt for small rodents. I have provided this perch and occasionally also provide an easy meal for them, road kill or out of date food etc. It has taken over 3 years to start getting any decent photos here and generally the birds are only on my perch for a matter of seconds, blink and you miss!. I've spent a lot of hours sat in the hide to get the shots you see posted here.
This bird for instance, the resident female, was on the perch for 4 seconds! (first to last shot).
