LST 393 notable for being involved with the Normandy Landings in June 44

the main lower deck has many display areas around the sides and there is a large area with photos of veterans from Muskegon (Michigan) County who sacrificed all, for the United States during WWII

HMS Scott, the largest survey vessel in Western Europe, and the fifth largest vessel in the Royal Navy. In Devonport dockyard for reasons unknown. Only decent view I could get without going over the other side of the river was of the stern. I may head to the other side in the week for some decent views.

military vehicle museum Ft. Wayne

the important part of the M16 half-track. electrically fired quad-.50 cal M2 machine guns. initially used for anti-aircraft defenses late in the war but put to better use in an anti-personnel attack/defense role

The second picture vehicle on the right is just a strange looking ride. Looks like fun though.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Agree. Sort of vehicle would be good on a farm, ranch for heavy duty work horse.
I imagine these were dime a dozen once, like old Ford blitzes and Bren gun carriers after WW2
