Still trying to get the "birds in flight" with eye focus dialed in. I think maybe I'm a bit too close to the target, with very little "flight"" room before they are out of the field of view. This is uncropped. The second photo was shot using electronic shutter. I assume that's what caused the bird box to look like its bowed. Man, there are a lot of photos to wade through using electronic shutter. :p

Lovely shots, Levina. He looks like he’s smiling away to himself.

Wow. Love these shots, Don. Especially the first, but both are great.

Our Grey Herons don’t do this. Males just sit on a nest or in a treetop and point their bills up high and stretch their long necks in the hopes of attracting a female. And they kinda snap at one another on the nest but they do not dance. I had no idea your Great blue did this. I always assumed, since they’re so similar to our Grey heron that their behaviour would be similar too. Amazing. I wish our Grey herons would dance too!

There is an Alligator Farm in St Augustine Florida. In addition to Alligators, It’s loaded with trees with hundreds of nesting birds. These are a couple of the many great shots I took in a two hour stretch one morning two weeks ago.

I was shooting a Great Blue Heron when some splashing caught my attention. There was a giant Carp and maybe several others splashing in the water right next to the Heron. The large one seemed to be about the size of the Heron's body which was much larger than any I've seen.
