Hi Mike...

Thanks for the kind words. He is truly that brilliant red color. I didn't adjust any color or clarity boosting at all.

Nice capture, Ray!

Thanks Mike. He scampered halfway up the tree when he saw me and perched himself on a ledge almost beyond decent range of my lens with the 1.4x adapter.:-)

Ray I was going to ask a respectable question. I'm curious what it's chewing on? Do they at times chew on anything going? I couldn't work out what it was. A chunk of wood?
Really is a fantastic photo. Such nice details.

Now! :p I did wonder too, why it scampered up the tree when it saw you.....?

I also observed that Richard and I wondered what it was nibbling at, it looks like a bit of tree bark to me, but whatever it was, the squirrel proceeded up into the canopy with it, so it must’ve been good.
Now for your second question, I really can’t understand that either, I am such a very nice guy really - but I’ll not ask the wife to confirm that.

A Mallard.

Lots of great color in this shot, fotoi! Nice shot of the mallard drake, but he will have to wait awhile before he gets his new suit of clothes (feathers).
