Thanks! This was a very calm antlion, as the few that I have encountered in the past have been pretty skittish. I was able to try and get a few shots to stack as well, however only a couple of them turned out well because these tend to make a lot of small movements with their legs and antenna so the stacked shot has a lot of ghosting to it in most cases. This is one of the few that came out pretty well. The nice thing about this pic, to me, is that there is no crop, this is the full resolution from the R5 so looking at it 1:1 there's a ton of detail

Yeah, When you can take full advantage of all those pixels the results are spectacular.

Gila Woodpecker. If you look closely at the base of his bill you'll notice some red coloring. That comes from his pecking into the fruit of a nearby Saguaro cactus; a very juicy treat...

These are amazing in every way.
Beautifully captured.

They made the news DownUnder.
A 17 year phenomenon so we're told
Trillions!
They'll make quite a din I imagine.
Expect birds will have a field day

Thank you, Richard.

Yes, definitely an event too rare to pass up!

The wife and I visited a park this past weekend and the drone was so otherworldly from a distance. While on the trail, we recorded the sound levels at 88 decibels.

Me: Uh, really the Captain Morgan pose?

Mantis: What's "Captain Morgan"? I'm a mantis am I supposed to know what that is?

Me: Alright...fair enough I guess.... <snap>

Mantis: <whispering> I'm totally doing the Captain Morgan pose

Me: I HEARD THAT!!

These orangutans had a lot of character and personality, and they gave me that 'look' through the lens which is so creepy.

same conditions as last year when I was using the 5DM4...this time the buffer never filled up and I got as many shots as I wanted...was a very nice experience. Oh, and MANY more keepers this time around.
