Not quite an airshow as such but I flew up to East Kirkby in Lincolnshire UK yesterday, home of the Avro Lancaster 'Just Jane' which is under going restoration to a flying condition. It frequently does taxi runs with fare paying customers to raise funds towards the restoration. Here it is pictured with their Mosquito which also does taxi rides. A great day out!

Wow, very nice ! What a thrill it must be to see (almost) airworthy examples of these legendary warbirds. The Mosquito is one of my all-time favorites.

Thanks for sharing !

From a series of about twenty shots, this is still one of my favourite airshow moments.

From Farnborough in 2016. Having seen the fluff starting to form on the way down I was pretty sure that there would be something special as the demo A400M pulled up over the top...was not expecting this amount of special though!!

That is a super cool shot. Is that a C-130 variant?

John
If you see the Panasonic 100-400mm lens in exif it is really the Olympus 100-400 that is not in the database.

No, not a C-130 which is made by Lockheed, this is made by Airbus. Still four engined but a much more modern design and has a T profile tail which the C-130 doesn’t.

Thanks Mike! It is a great place to visit being on an old World War II airfield. After the RAF moved out at the end of the war the United States Air Force were based there with an Air Rescue Squadron for a few years. Nowadays it is just a few miles from RAF Coningsby where RAF Typhoons are based and it is great to have these historic aircraft with the modern Typhoons thundering overhead!

That is a great shot and so representative of the A400M display.

Pulled over the top! You aren't saying that it was looped are you. Even vertical that's a long way over! And I'll bet they did a VERY careful clean up inside before the demo

Cracking shot Graham.

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

No, not a loop, more like a 120 degree wing over!

The Blue Angel is so low you can smell the exhaust and damn is he loud. The 130 was doing a refueling demo earlier in the day over Lake Washington.
