Does anyone use R6 with Tamron 150-600 G2? Any issues?

Yes, Tamron G2 has a focus problem.

reason?

The R6 is a superb camera but just way overkill for me especially after the a studio I was about to start working with went out of business (Covid). I sold it and bought an R with the 24-240 and it seems like a good fit. I don't miss anything about the R6 but it is definitely a great camera.

I like rust! From 1976 to 1990 I was a mechanical engineer designing transmissions for John Deere, Eaton, and Rockwell. Most of my work is rusty or recycled by now. ;-)a

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

I've had an R6 for a couple of months, still learning with it. I shoot a lot of aviation and some questions came up from this weekend.

1. Is there a way to lock the focus points I'm using? Sometimes I put the camera down at my side and my hand hits the touch screen and moves the focus points.

2. Are there any recommended settings for AF/tracking at slower shutter speeds? For prop planes typically start at 1/200 or 1/250 and go slower from there. I'm getting way more blurry shots than I do with a DSLR. Any suggested settings when panning at slower shutter speeds? This weekend was shooting with a r6 and 100-500 rf lens. This felt lighter than the 100-400 lens I've been using for years. Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to the different gear.

3. While panning, there were times when the plane just disappeared from the view finder even though I was still pointed directly at it. It almost felt the view finder wasn't keeping up with what I was looking at. I eventually lost the plane, had to zoom out, refocus and zoom back in. Anyone encounter this? Anything I can do about it. I was in AI servo mode, back button focusing while panning with the plane.

4. Lastly, is there any way to see the viewfinder/lcd screen with sunglasses on? I have prescription sunglasses and when using them can barely see the screen. With regular glasses in sunlight, I can see the screen fine.

I see this wood pigeon come into the garden most evenings but I don't ever seem to be able to take any photos as it spooks too easily. Anyway I was lying in the garden today and it came down and hung around for a little bit.

Oops I have just noticed this is a collared dove, not a wood pigeon - doh!
