Thanks Mike--the Great Blue catch my attention as I was shooting some Bushtits. The r5 is so responsive it is fast becoming an extension of my vision and I was able to grab several nice shots of the heron--and this was my favorite of the group. I replaced the sky with the more pleasing clouds and I am glad you find that they added to the photo's appeal!

My buddy got some amazing video of a Great Blue Heron taking a huge trout. I'm not even sure a Heron is equipped to eat a fish that size. The link to the YouTube video is below.
