This is what happens when you accidentally lean on the telescope mount control hand paddle with your elbow during a 10 sec exposure...

Cheers

I like this effect. You should “lean” on the telescope in a controlled way to see what you could produce.

The custard-yellow color of May's SuperMoon as it rose above the horizon after sunset... followed by a Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) just a few hours later. Photographed from the 'Bellbird Hill' lookout at Kurrajong (Blue Mountains) - overlooking Sydney, Australia. An EF 100-400mmL II lens with an EF 2x III Extender on a Canon EOS M6 (APS-C) cameras was used to capture these via the self-timer on the camera.

The Canon EOS M6 camera that took the images above... on the Left, with a Canon EOS Ra on the right - which was set upon an unguided and untracked CGX mount due to high wind and my other tripod being out of commission.

A surreal looking red moon (above) during the end stage of the eclipse. This 5-second exposure with an 85mm lens was photographed with an EOS Ra camera, which has a factory modified sensor for astrophotography. It's particularly sensitive to red and infrared and this single image exposure caused the red from the earthshine to blow out across the moon and color the bright crimson flare from a thin crest of sunlight that appeared on the moon's edge. I predicted that the Milky Way might become visible during the eclipse (which it did) - and you could make out the brighter areas quite clearly with your eyes when this happened. No colors were introduced while editing the JPEG that was captured. I used a non-tracked CGX mount to keep the camera steady in the wind. The unedited image looks exactly the same, just really washed out from both the city lights and the illumination from the moon. I had to shoot with the moon off-center because it was throwing that flare straight at the camera when centered in the middle (seems to be an EOS Ra thing) ... plus I thought a hint of the Milky Way in the lower right corner might offer a sense of reference.

Here's the unedited image. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge or select "original" for more detail.

A wider look at the Eclipse as it was ending... with a Canon EOS R6 camera set on top of a garbage bin for height and stability. This image had some unique diffraction spikes and a little bit of a glow emanating from the bright crescent on moon but I added an enhancement when re-editing it last night. I regret only taking one image because if I had panned the camera down, the city of Sydney would have made an interesting foreground for the shot. But there were a lot of people at the lookout with their kids, to see the Lunar Eclipse... and I had three cameras set up in the dark where someone might have bumped into something or tripped over a tripod leg whilst looking up at the moon.

Nicely done! Congrats on a great shot!
Something tells me there may have been a little planning & scouting involved?
