Don’t have to aim, just touch the target with that long barrel and blast away! :)

Yes, not exactly a quick draw type either. My Dad bought it back in the mid 80s and they made less than 500 like it. They were going to make 1000 but there was a worker's strike at the time.

A feller at a Cowboy Action Shoot had a pair of the Italian clones of these. Sure were fun to shoot, one in each hand and blasting away.

snagged one of the Midway M1 Carbines. A Quality Hardware with a Rock-ola barrel, Winchester dogleg hammer and trigger group. It will live with my two Winchester M1 Carbines that I got from CMP a few years ago. I am addicted to carbines, have two Enfield #5's and two Mosin carbines.

Winchesters at top, QH is at bottom of the 3 M1's bottom picture was before I got the QH last week

Love it! Now you need a M1A1 with a folding stock.

Can you still get ammo or are you rolling your own?

I am pretty sure that the M1A1 is illegal in Marxachusetts.

A few years ago I bought some ammo from CMP and still have about 400 rounds, last year a friend called and said that CMP was again selling M1 Carbine ammo so I bought a spam can, think it was $750 for 1,000 round (I think) it was all in bandoleers and due to the covid I haven't used any of it YET.
