Excellent capture of this house sparrow, Mark! The sharpness really brings him to life.

Thanks very much Mike.

I needed a step ladder to get enough height to see thru the foliage for a view of the top of the nest.

If that's a female then I know why it has that look at this time of the year.

One of the commissions I had some years back was to turn 5 dozen wooden eggs. From kestrel to golden eagle and if you saw the size of the eagle's egg you would understand the look!

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

Wonderful shot, fotoi! Terrific alert pose, and outstanding color and sharpness!

Beautifully captured, Dave!

Great shot, royd! I like the lighting on her face and chest. The circular ripples on the water really give an added appeal.

Very appealing, Tom! I like the sharpness, the background, and the perch. They make for excellent composition.

Excellent capture of this house sparrow, Mark! The sharpness really brings him to life.

Nice capture, Steve!

Like your wood duck, this hen mallard has a cool looking alert pose also. Very nice capture, fotoi!

Thank you very much, Mike.

A Mississippi Kite sits atop a well-established poplar tree (i.e., way, way up there) keeping an eye on the nearby nest, notable for being the first recorded MIKI nest in Montgomery County, MD.
