One good thing about living in a rain forest. We have plenty of frogs.
Found this young man yesterday evening.

Nicely done Travis. Your website has a clean, modern vibe to it that seems to compliment the many example photographs you share there.

Thanks Gene, I appreciate the feedback.

Excellent website Travis. I enjoyed visiting it.

Thanks!

Awesome website Travis! Very clean and modern feeling. I viewed on the iPhone 12 Pro Max and your bio is split into paragraphs (not sure if you have already made that fix).

Couple of things my OCD spotted - the first testimonial is in bold and the name isn’t, the second testimonial isn’t in bold and the name is then the final testimonial has both bold text and bold name - these would look better all the same formatting IMO.

Also when you wrote “start of a YouTube channel” there’s a double space between “of” and “a”.

Finally at the bottom of the people page the words “landscape” and “automotive” overlap on the navigation.

Hope you don’t mind these nit picks, they just jump out at me with anything I read.

Thanks for the feedback Eddie, another friend noted the same things you did...the font layouts, I remember that I was trying to decide which format and styling I liked more and never decided so they are inconsistent, and agree that they need to be...time to pick on. The navigation text is an annoying issue, I had not noticed it until it was pointed out, but I would have thought that Squarespace would have figured out to scale it down more on mobile...it will end up being too small on desktop...but...sadly we have to cater to mobile users. I didn't spend as much time checking things in the mobile preview...I probably need to run through the while site and do that more detailed.

Looking great Travis.

Thanks David.

Fantastic site you've made.
So clean and professional and the portfolio images on the front page
are all top drawer.
A career is born.

Thanks Robert, it was hard to pick what to show and what to leave out...

Just viewed on the iPhone 7 (much smaller screen) and it scales and views great on that too. Still got the overlap issue though -

I think I got this sorted out...at least on my S20 and on the mobile preview...fixed all the other items and a friend suggested that clicking on an image in the home page take the viewer to that category...so it does that now too, I liked that idea. There are still a couple of things I can't figure out how to change...still working on it.

Let me know if you want the code to show portrait oriented images vs landscape oriented. Does a nice job of displaying on mobile vs desktop.

In my opinion, the best 85mm lens made. I used Carlo’s copy several years ago for my niece’s graduation photoshoot. Excellent results.

Just had a try of the 135mm at f1.8 in the garden. The last one is in the next door garden, so I was not to close.
Cant wait to try this lens on some fast moving subjects.

How are you liking your iPhone 12 Pro Max? I’m planning a big upgrade to that phone from my iPhone 6S (it’s a complete useless pos because the battery no longer holds a charge).

12 pro max is da bomb :-P

be careful with HDR footage if you ever do video, it will look blown out on an editor if not done right, it's easily fixable, and the footage is fantastic for a phone, but one of those new tech quirks. I grabbed the phone after my texas trip, due to battery life issues, and wowzers. 6 should be EOL now, no more updates right?

Last week I went out to do some shooting, but discovered I had accidentally left my a7S III on with Bluetooth running. The battery was drained. No problem, I made a quick return back home to grab my a7R II and went back on my way.

First stop was a field of wildflowers to photograph some bees with my Sigma 105mm Macro and OMG what a POS the a7R II is. AF is abysmal. I couldn’t get a single usable bee image, even though I had many opportunities. I’ve gotten completely spoiled by the a7S III AF system and am more than ready to never use the a7R II ever again. Whenever that a1 gets in stock……. ;)

I’m not blaming my tools, just saying there is a massive capability difference in cameras and I’m super-wowed by just how much Sony has improved it’s cameras since 2015 when I bought my a7R II.
