I hope I can improve quickly, but it is wonderful to finally have the tools. :)

Thanks so much for the congrats Alfredo! Words fail to express my delight in adding the a1 to my kit.

Now I just need to hone some skills: Finding out where the birds are, and how photograph them. I have major beginner's struggle of just trying to find my target through the lens. I've watched a few helpful tutorials (a real nice one by Steve Perry) and now I just need lots and lots of practice. We all have to get started somehow. :)

Really nice that the feeding board was empty at this park bird blind so they could be photographed on a natural perch, Ladder-backed wood pecker

Amazing how these little guys can capture a beak full of caterpillars and not drop them.

I've been in a rut with photography for a while. This has filled the creative void for me for the past two months.

Probably will retake this one day when I have time to set-up lights so I can control the highlights and reflections better. I used bounce flash and you can see reflections from the room.

I love them just as much perched. You can usually see much more fine detail in the form, the colors, and face.

The guitar is art itself.
I was pushed from photography by life.
You'll get back when the time is right.
