Using the old Kodak Vigilant viewfinder on my 3D printed camera has helped me compose my images a bit better. This is the VFW Post 4379 in Winchester, Ca. The flagpole is just where I wanted it and all of the Post building on the left is in the frame.

I debated whether I should remove the partial tree on the left but decided to leave it as is for now at least.

This is why I bought the A7C. It was a hard hike at the end of a long trip. Tons of slick rock
and several big uphills and downhills. Luckily it was cool.
I took the FE20/1.8 and the Tam17-28 (and the 28-200) no knowing what kind of framing I'd have when we got there.
In the end after processing images with the Tam and the FE I chose the Tam for the Flickr.

Very nice. Looks like a place I would like to visit.

Here's a quick test shot of my neighbor trying out the viewfinder on a close subject.

I missed focus a little but at least I didn't cut off his head. :-)

This is the full frame.

Lee, this is lovely mate. Never seen a milky way pic over SH before, and this is just spot on. The subtle processing works really well too. Glad I took the time to catch up on all the pages I've missed! Good inspiration too, I might have to have a go!
