I've decided the E 70-350mm is faster focusing than the Tamron 70-300.
I think the Tam 70-300 is still fast enough for slow moving large BIF (herons, cranes, etc.)

This another shot from the river down the mountain. A7C+E70-350G

Yes, the 70-350G is truly awesome. If you use both in APS-C mode I can't see how the Tamron could compare favorably.

We were on the big family vacation last week, and the weather didn't really cooperate a while lot for photography. It rained a lot, big gulf coast downpour rains...so the camera gear stayed packed up most of the week. I did get out one morning, just because I was determined to shoot something!

Thanks Choder!
I really dig the A7C+90 combo. Any weight saved over the A1 is nice since I also had the flash on
and the big honking flash diffuser (lightweight but wieldy).

I figured you must have used a diffuser. Nice soft light and soft reflection of the light source in that perfectly placed drop of water.

Great images everyone.

I havent posted anything with the 85GM since receiving it as I am way behind in editing but really loving the lens. I was worried about the AF speed, and whilst its slow going from near to far, it seems perfectly fine once you are in the region so I tend to do a quick pre-focus first them its ok after that. The rendering is amazing though.

Heres some from Saturday at a local beach/shore area

Mark Galer says the E 70-350mm has the same focusing motor as the 100-400, that's why it's so good.

throw a 3 stop ND on there...shallow DoF pans are something else. Or drop the ISO down.
