With the SSD coming in I have a couple questions. I have set my M.2_1 slot for PCIe in the BIOS. In My System Manager the Storage Controllers doesn't list a NVMe controller. Will Win 10 install that when I put the SSD into the M.2_1 slot and restart the PC?

Here's a link to WD support for the SSD:

I noticed in the BIOS that Intel Rapid Storage Technology is turned on.
Do I need to do anything regarding the note in my MoBo manual that mentions RAID mode?

RAID should be turned off- unless you are using it. Which MB are you using? Also there does not appear to be a NVM controller installed under storage controllers.

I wouldn't touch the BIOS unless your SSD isn't recognized after install. In your screen, it does look like the slot is set as PCIe...which I think is right for NVME (though if another option is RAID, perhaps it's for setting controller to 0 for 2 M.2s or better performance). I have noticed with some of my configs, PCIe SSDs have Windows drivers that are RAID controllers (which should install for you if Windows recognizes the drive).

Thanks for all of the replies.
The SSD came in and all went well.
Windows automatically loaded the NVMe controller upon power up.
I had found a good YouTube that was very close .

In my case the BIOS pop up and modification didn't enter the picture.

Thanks again.
I hope this helps someone else.
