Didn't really notice the land to the right until you mentioned it.
Like you say, looks good as is.

The famous zigzag breakwater at St. Monans. Three minute exposure to smooth out the water, since there was no crashing wave action or indeed any real interesting motion. Canon 6D, 20mm f/2.8, cheap ten stop ND and a broken tripod :) Was tempted to remove the tiny bit of land on the right skyline and maybe try to do something about the more visible concrete bottom right, but I like it how it is (and had already spent long enough in post removing sensor dust)

I believe that the bottom of the picture adds to the entire image, especially the ladder.

Well done.

Thanks both :) Rolled out of bed at 3AM to get up there in time for high tide and I wish I'd waited a day or two and gone when the tide was a touch higher to hide that block of concrete and seaweed which is not quite submerged enough. Conditions were bang on, though, and it came out exactly as I envisioned it.

A couple of photos around the Auckland Harbour. One from the north shore looking across to the city centre, the other from the north end of the Auckland Harbour bridge, lit up for the Matariki (Maori New Year) festival

A Gulf pf Alaska seascape with markers of the end of a halibut longline. I and most of you see just water, the captain in his mind sees the bottom and what is happening down there.
