Good to see snow.

You have no idea how long its taken me to get there. At this rate I will be spending lots of time down at snow ...... may even be able to justify the fuji 100s :)

was -3 degrees but I invested in quality pants and jacket from Katmandu ...gloves, hat, snow boots etc to stay warm. The only thing left to get is a small gas cooker for coffee :)

Caught up with a well known landscape photographer in Rotorua yesterday, good chat about medium format and printing. Spotted this on way and stopped on way back. Not best as couldnt get access due to deer fence

playing around with adobe enhance in camera raw.

20D 8.2mp files now 32.7mp
5D clastic 12mp files now 51mp
1Dsmk3 21mp files now 84.1mp

points to note both are still only 8bit files so graduation will still be issue.

Where do would I use this

birds or subjects you need to crop into to get descent size

The digital advantage, old files can come back alive after 10-20 years, yes there is always a compromise i.e dynamic range etc but its the best use of AI I have seen, lets not go down the sky replacement AI .... get same reaction from me when HDR came out :)

That feature is capable of magic under the right circumstances.
