That may be a bit long on a crop, but if you can pair it with an ef 10-22 you'll be good to go.

My wife and I both like the EF-S 15-85 very much. Canon's EF-S 18-135 is also a great lens and a little lighter than the 15-85. If you want the lightest weight, the EF-S 18-55 is only 7 ounces but I don't have any experience with it.

On a crop body, I do think you would find that the 24-105 isn't wide enough. But you could check the metadata of your current train photos to see what focal lengths you've been using.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

Another vote for the 18-135 NanoUSM on a crop body. I have found it to be a really good all-purpose lens

If you are looking for a light weight lens, then both the Canon 15-85 and 18-135 are about the same as the Sigma 18-300 you already have. (The 18-135 is perhaps a few ounces lighter.) I suggest a Canon 18-55 lens, as it is very light weight. Or perhaps consider a prime in the 24 or 35 range. It depends on what you plan to photograph.

Canon 80D, 60D, Canon 10-22EFs, 15-85EFS IS, Sigma 100-400, Sigma 135/1.8ART, Sigma 30mm f/1.4DC, Canon 60mm EFs Macro, Rokinon 8mm fisheye, 550EX flash, Olympus TG6 underwater P&S
Postprocessing: DxOLabs 5, DxO Viewpoint 3, Paint Shop Pro 2021

My choice would be the Nano USM. It's the newest version of the 18-135 lens, and it focuses 2 to 4 times faster than the STM. Here's a thorough review of it:

I owned both for awhile, both had good IQ but the focus speed of the NanoUSM was noticeably faster and I thought it was a bit sharper as well.
