Enjoy using these TTArtisan manual lenses. 35 1.4 on my old X-E1.

From a hike I took last weekend, on the waterfall trail of the Mackenzie-King Estate in Gatineau Park. I regret having put my camera back in my bag after this one, telling myself I was done taking photos for the day (the waterfall itself proved to be quite the disappointment), that I happened on a small family of black bears, a mother (I presume, she was 'small') and her two cubs. Thankfully they didn't cross the pathway less than 25-30 meters away from me, and I can't recall if any of them saw me... I saw them, though, and was quite happy to take quite a few steps back and wait for them to be well on their way on the other side of the forest before continuing my own way. The roughly 10km+ of my hike in the park to return home that day was quite long indeed :p

Nice images. Are those lenses chipped/have electronic connectors?

No electrical connection at all. They have helped me slow down my shooting a lot.

Shame...that first part I mean. I really wish more manual lenses had electronic connections, so they worked with the camera and you could have EXIF info/IBIS on the bodies that have it, etc.

To me it's not an issue at all. I sold all of my Fuji glass except the 27 2.8 (love it) I have not missed IBIS since I left Olympus M43 years ago.. My Pro3 is up for sale to make a partial move to a Leica M range finder (keeping my X100V and X-E1).

I'm using the following 3rd party manual glass:
TTArtisan 17 1.4
TTArtisan 35 1.4
TTArtisan 50 1.2
Pergear 25 1.8

Giving my new X100V a run around my local city and local countryside. Northumberland is more a 50mm county than a 35mm county, but I still love carrying nothing but an X100 :)

On that note, it might be time for me to do some proper X-T30 gear porn, wanted to do that but was upstaged by that image of the error message I got with that lens I returned...

To continue on that thought...

I tried some other views but they didn't pan out so well without a macro lens.

A couple of shots from our Galway walk yesterday, had a quick job today too but thankfully only an hour and quick delivery as little to no editing needed.
Anyway Galway's fun, it was great to be out shooting somewhere different than I local town & with a bunch of other Fuji shooters too.

One of the derelict boats in the harbour.

Derelict boats are so cool, looking forward to being able to shoot some when travel opens up.

I like the color scheme you went for here.

A somewhat common image from Downtown Houston if you've got a fisheye.

Dinner with a couple of old friends last night.

A quick snap of Max with a handheld flash (Godox V1) on his right, no posing allowed. . We are doing some better lit and posed shots in a couple of weeks, Max has played a really important role in bringing equality to the forefront of Irelands political eye and was key in making that change happen. I known him since we were teenagers and met my wife through my friendship with him.
