Thank you very much Mark. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. These dove are not native to the US. Thirty or forty years ago you wouldn't have seen any wild Eurasian collard dove in these parts. They came here by way of the Bahamas, in the mid 70's. Now they are very commonly seen throughout the country. I remember photographing my first one in 2007.

Very nice capture of this great egret, Mark!

Thank you Mike! And thanks for the historical info on the dove. It's wild how small birds/animals like this find their way across the world.
