I am hanging in there. It is 6 weeks tomorrow since the surgery and although I am back to "normal" life, I am still having quite a bit of nerve pain. Dr. said it could be another few months before it all settles down. Fortunately I am a pretty tough old bird and haven't used any pain medicine in 4 weeks.

Those months will go fast. Get better soon.

The rest of the herd was not happy with it….they avoided it. So we were not sure it would be protected from predators. Usually several zebras would kick at predators and a group of adults would surround the colts. But there was a lot of concern this would not be the case for this little guy.

Thank you for the lesson in LIFE of a Zebra! I too hope it makes a long and happy life!

After some research, it was still alive last April so that is good news.

Great shot. So nice to see animals in the wild and not in zoo's

John
If you see the Panasonic 100-400mm lens in exif it is really the Olympus 100-400 that is not in the database.

Thoughtful Peregrine. Not in a zoo or captivity, it's amazing to see these wonderful birds in their full glory.
