Just took my first business or any air travel trip this week. Sucks wearing a mask for nearly 8 hours with layovers. Hotel and airline service will never be the same now that they can get away with providing less amenities.

Boy does that suck and it’s unfortunately the new normal for the foreseeable future. -?

Haha yes after 14 months of working from home in casual clothes, it’s so hard to go back to this! Thank you :D

I feel your pain! Even though Sydney has been in lockdown for like 3 weeks now my work was making us go in so I was wearing a mask 8 hours a day too. Hopefully once things are back to normal, the amenities may return!

Hi, I took the plunge last week and purchased the R6. I haven't used it yet - just received my EF - EOS adaptor and I don't yet own any RF lenses.

I have a question about compatibility with a particular lens. It's the Tokina 11-20 F2.8 ATX Pro DX lens. Up till now I've only owned crop-sensor cameras (APS-C) and as I understand it, this lens was designed for APS-C camera bodies. So my question is, would this lens work with the R6, using the adaptor ?

It may work with the adapter, not all third party lenses do. But, it will drop you to about 8 MP, as the R6 automatically recognizes and adjusts for a lens designed for a APS-C Sensor.

Thank you. I do use a Canon 65mm that has no image stabilization and its not too painful an experience (even on my 5D Mark IV) but I hear what you are saying and the Sigma is I believe 20 years younger than the Canon lens too. I do have a lot of trust in Canon lenses though but about time I gave Sigma a go.

I assume the R6 in body stabilisation would help the Canon 180mm though?

Thanks for the advice.

Paul

[Edited to say I have bought a used Canon 180mm now as even though it is really old, it gets some amazing reviews and it is a lot lighter than the Sigma]

None of my Canon lenses-other than the RF 100-500mm- have IS. Most are EF L glass, but not a Canon 100mm Macro, Canon 40mm pancake, and a Tokina 16-28 for FF cameras. All work fine with the Canon adapter, and probably benefit from in-camera stabilization.

Who says you can't do crops on the R6 - 100% crop (The upload here doesn't do it justice as it's lost some quality)

My first time learning and testing my new R6. I'm quite impressed with the capabilities of this camera - lots to learn but wow, it's already providing some nice shots.

Great detail.
