Quite a change from a Dodge Ram pickup. The gasoline usage is impressive, but I'm wondering if you noticed much of an increase in your electric utility bills?

With the Ram I used 20 gallons of gas a month but my electric bill has increased less than $10 a month with the Clarity.

That is no driving at all, wow! My FJ cruiser has a 19 gallon tank, and there have been two instances this year where I have gotten gas 4/5 times in one day...! That's 1,200+ miles.

Like that day in Feb, where I got stuck in an ice storm in TX. I drove for nearly 24 hours straight trying to get to warmer weather...!

That was a wild trip! I slept on the beach in Galveston one night, and the next day there was snow on that same beach.

The next trip starts this morning. I drove to Cincinnati to pick up a friend on Friday. He's spent the last couple years wandering around Mexico and was in town. We're headed to the UP today as everyone else heads home from there. He thinks we should road trip to Baja - or I should meet him there in the next couple of months. That would be really awesome, though I don't know how comfortable I'd feel camping there...! Maybe if I weren't sleeping in a tent. :-D

You should try driving a V8 Mustang across country....Atlanta to Houston needed.3 stops for fuel, my range isn't much better than early Tesla cars! But a fill up takes 5 minutes.

The old '71 Escort is similar - not that I do drive it that much - but it probably averages 15- 18 mpg on country roads & only has a 9 gallon tank.......

Sounds like the Chevy I owned with a 327 V-8 with a Holley AFB. I was lucky to get 200 miles out of a tank of gas.

I've slept in this thing 114 times now. The goal is 120 before I hit the 1 year mark, and I've got a whole month to go!

There's nothing better than waking up in the middle of nowhere, alone and without phone service.

If you had to do it again, what would you choose?

I'd most likely keep my Red 3L V6 Diesel 2016. Current car is ok I suppose if I hadn't owned better. But to go to a 4cyl 2L petrol - in spite of what they say it is a big No for me.
The control centre is a sort of iPad in the centre consul that displays all sorts of info you just don't need - like your driving style, the radio never seems to return to its original state and so on.
The auto start is too slow. I do, however, like the normal display in front of the steering wheel because its bright, although the other info like auto speed limiter etc: is too crowded on the screen.
I have turned off the lane divergence thingy because it tries to correct when not necessary. To many gizmos to distract when driving. Also I definitely do not need a top speed of 155mph.:-)
Most normal vehicles seem to be going this way, though.
I am thinking of doing it again. To avoid the fully gizmo'd automation I would have to go back 2 years and get an used XF with low mileage and head-up display, or a similar Range Rover.

How come you got rid of the 2016?
