Love these wagtails.
Really nice photo Pippan

Thanks Richard. They don't stay still for long. Bit like your fairy-wrens. :-)

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Beautiful shot. I think this is a very young (hatched this spring) female oriole based on the thin pointy bill. Tanager bills are a bit thicker and stubbier. The flowers provide a lovely setting, but also another clue since orioles are nectar feeders. Probably a Hooded or Bullock's, but I'm not sure.

After further research, it is a hooded oriole Thanks!

Two very nice shots, but what's especially interesting to me is that theses are unrelated birds living 8,000 miles apart.

There surely is a unique similarity in their coloration, Ken. That is interesting.

A couple views of a Chukar that turned up at a local park and was hanging with Canada Geese. Likely an escapee from a hunting farm, I think.

Two very nice shots, Steve. I'd bet it is an escapee from a hunting farm or club. Around my area they escape but never survive the winters. They are nowhere near as smart as the wild chucker we have.

Thank you Mike.
It was fascinating observing the young ones starting to skim along the shoreline.
