Thanks, the music I was not as certain about, it was not what I would have chosen...the Owner is Latin, and has a very latin vibe in the main home...and my client wanted something with a little latin flare. Myself, I don't see the connection, how would anyone else know all of that background...so I found a track that mixed the simple guitar that I wanted and the latin vibe the client wanted, and they loved it.

Thanks David, at first I was reading this comment and thought...well, I should just quit right now and sell all my gear!;-)a Then I realized that I have done exactly as you stated, and exactly what I want, and what my client needs...for the viewer to do just as you say, become immersed in the spaces and lost in those spaces. Yes, the camera bounce is hard to correct, I did some minor stabilization on these and it is better than it was SOOC. I have to figure out how to be more smooth when walking. I need more practice. It is actually easier if you move faster, at least I have found. But moving fast and then playing back slow...looks really odd. So I just gotta keep trying.

Travis any thoughts on using a gimbal (those powered ones)? Shouldn't they eliminate shake and give you a smooth video?

I would love to know (as an owner of many of the Sony APS-C cameras, including the current a6600) what the thoughts of others may be as to why Sony hasn't added features like "Product Showcase" and "Background Defocus" to the mainline of APS-C products like the A6xxx line. Especially "Product Showcase."

Thoughts?

What is “product showcase” ?

It allows something to be placed closer to the lens and be the point of focus when eye focus is turned on without one having to cover one's face by the object placed in front of the lens.

Just to check I’m understanding you correctly, it’s to allow you to focus on something close to the lens even though there is a face in the background I.e it overrides eye AF?

I’ve never heard of this before and not quite understanding what it is or what problem it sorts. On my a9ii for example I can focus on a close object, the tracking locks onto it, I can then recompose and the tracking sticks to the object even if there’s a face in the background. On my a7riii it wouldn’t do eye af until I pressed the button anyway as it doesn’t have real time tracking

I use the DJI RS2! But they are not as smooth as a slider when the operator is the problem! You should see how bad it is without the gimbal. Unusable...I have tried.

Need to get your ninja walk practiced :)

I find Brandon Li’s videos good

Edit - not suggesting you need a “basics” video, just like this guys tutorials and he has a good ninja walk

I have seen some of his videos, not that one...but need to practice more. That seems to be my issue. He gets such stable footage, it makes me wonder if I don't have it properly balanced. Some lenses seem to balance better than others, even though they all say they are supported.

I'm not a videographer, so I won't comment on the technical. I like the video overall - it gives a good sense of the house.

My wife watched it with me and she commented that some of the transitions seemed too abrupt for her. She liked the shot of the dining area @ 00:41 in, but then you're suddenly out on the balcony pulling the shot back to the door and then you're suddenly looking at the kitchen.

My only thought was that showing a running kitchen faucet in the middle of a major drought might be something to reconsider.

thanks for the feedback. i agree with you and your wife. thanks for taking the time to watch it and found something worth noting for my next video. as for the running water, i agree with you but i only did it in like 10secs each.

for the pool water that's pouring over, it's so cool. the water goes into a filtration system and goes back into the pool.
