How come you got rid of the 2016?

I've got an appointment with the 'shrink' next week.:-(

A 2L in that thing?!? That's appalling. I would bet that car only comes with a V8 here - at least I'd hope so!

I'm with you though, all this new tech in cars is horrible. The added fuel economy is the only upside if you ask me.
I was thinking about what 2nd car I'd pick up if I was able to - R129 Mercedes (SL500) because I think they were still quality vehicles, and I love the way they look. I think it may be one of those vehicles that eventually jumps in value. Unless I could find an E46 M3 with 3 pedals, of course.

Then again I keep having dreams of swapping a Cummins 4BT into my FJ Cruiser. That could be really interesting. I'll have to see if that's been done before. :-D

Mclaren motor parked on Malmesbury High Street this morning. Reminds me a bit of our 2CV, but that was red and white

That looks a bit like the larger version of the R4 Hetier. A bit like the difference between the 2CV and the Diane ;-)a

Do you still have it?

I was briefly following an old 2CV only last night. Had a sign in the back, 425?cc and 12 bhp! It was on what looked like an old pre 63 number plate but it was left hand drive.

That was a very early Tin Snail Lee, they changed from the 425cc in 1970 and put the heavy weight 602cc/36 bhp in then and it lasted right up to the end in 1990. Not bad when you think that they first appeared in 1948. I have always been fascinated by the ignition system. Both plugs fire at the same time and the one on the compression stroke is the one that goes bang! No distributor to go wrong!

Hetier, you are very lucky to have such lovely cars in your collection.

My first was a Dyane for 2 years then a BX TZD Turbo for 11 years, followed by a Xantia Estate for 4 years

My first French registered Citroën was a C8, followed by 2 Grand C4 Picassos over the 13 years in France. That was near Carcassonne.

Now I am reduced to Kia Nero plug in hybrid because Citroën can't fit a tow bar to their electric or hybrid cars :cry:

I have mentioned before that SWMBO had a wonderful red/white 2CV Dolly for 17 years and we both loved it, but when we moved to France it would have been to difficult to change it to left hand drive.

Mine got a good wash and detail yesterday, went to a car show today, woke up too late to shoot some light painted images like I wanted to...stupid margaritas last night! But it was clean, so I snapped a shot off anyway.
