Charlie Guess What! I'm Pregnant! More info Post edited over 2 years ago by Charlie. (2 edits in all) | Jul 30, 2021 01:20 | #49833 finally got around to a recent trip video, and why I love the A7siii, nearly all hand held so some jerkiness here and there, however I think it's quite usable for family video. While the camera is still heavier than I like, I used clear image zoom to fill in the gaps, using a single 18mm f2.8 samyang prime to keep weight low and participate in the blazing hot and humid weather. This is mostly SOOC, with my own custom HLG profile, had to adjust the WB in some of the cave shots, because they were nearly pitch black in some areas with colored lights. Cool video Charlie and yeah footage looks great. For your semi-slow motion scenes is that 60p at 40%? Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Also, my knowledge of clear image zoom is basically zero but does that mean your 18mm lens is digitally zoomed to 36mm? And does it still leave you with the full 12MP of the sensor ? the entire thing was filmed at 60p, since I was chasing my kids the entire time, some slowed down to 40% as you said, some down to 80% for a slightly butter look while looking somewhat realtime, and some left alone. Clear image zoom is essentially crop mode from my testing (although it works like an electronic zoom mechanism), slightly better than simply using the crop button, and it keeps my timeline 4K 60 (exported 1080 for vimeo since I have no space), so I dont have to do any fiddling, it does not use the full sensor, since it's cropping and interpolating in realtime. A higher MP camera has more crop ability in video, but it usually comes at the cost of the main fov being hit with lesser IQ and rolling shutter problems which makes hand held footage unbearable. One small query about “ slightly better than simply using the crop button, and it keeps my timeline 4K 60”. Can you elaborate? Does the crop button change the FPS? Or effective FPS? If I can pull it off, a head swap in photoshop might be the easiest way to go. Finding a jacket and shirt with that style collar could be very difficult and/or expensive. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

A7SIII+Weebil-S(Gimbal) and Mavic Pro 2 I liked it overall, there were a few clips that felt unnecessary, the pull back from the door in the hallway, I think there were three of the living room, the fourth one seemed extra. It is very smooth. I gotta work on that. I liked the fast transition for a couple of them, but the one that backed up to show that bathroom, coming out of the closet, that one felt odd. I agree, the running water stuff is odd, I know that a lot of REP folks do that, and I never understood it. Like David said, we have had so much rain we don't see it from the drought standpoint, but it just feels un-needed. Maybe show the shower area itself, rather than water running down the drain. That pool is killer...I want one like that! Website
