Naw I left Phoenix in May... Too hot and was ready to change it up. I'm in Moab now. 15 mins from Arches / 30 mins from Canyonlands... ENDLESS Things to see/do here + peace n quiet.

Apparently this is a rose-coloured starling which is rare in the UK, especially up here in the Highlands. Taken through my dirty and wet kitchen window. I went out and washed it after I took these but the bird didn't return!

I think they are pretty rare in the the UK in general.


Ray, after I posted this it returned and managed to figure out the feeder so it got a good meal. I last saw it at 8pm so hope it comes back tomorrow!

Anna's Hummingbird...

Some Osprey flying around and eating on a cool and cloudy morning at Port Mahon. Conditions weren't ideal unfortunately as the skies were pretty much overcast (forecast said mostly sunny).

Bullock's Oriole...

Nice!! There was one in Gilbert Water Ranch in the Spring... I like this one much better as it's a more natural shot. The one in Gilbert people put an Orange out for it...

Well, next month (10-12 September) I’m going to the annual Photo Shoot with the Norwegian Photographic Community. I will bring along my EF 100-400 lens just in case. I haven’t used it for years now since I bought the prime EF 300/2.8L IS USM II.
