Pan Am set of EMDs. The crew was just out of frame to my left at a hotdog stand grabbing a bite before the arrival of the Amtrak, so they could continue on their way.

Been a while since i posted on here. Been snapping train pics here and there. Old laptop thats super slow, covid with home schooling and no free time after my son have really killed the photography mood for me.
SD70M leading intermodal from a year ago I think and the GTW heritage unit that was a big deal here on the CSX riverline in nj last week.

Flashback photo. Camping at Lena, Indiana, May 1988. Minolta X-700, Minolta MD lens (don't remember the focal length).

We camped here all though the 1980s. Had campfires and cookouts. It was a thrill when a 70 mph piggyback blasted by in the middle of the night. We had a lot of fun. Never had any trouble. Conrail never said anything.

my family has 125+ years working in the Grand Trunk Western Port Huron Car Shops, but that's been closed since about '94 when CN decided to take its' subsidiaries under one reporting mark. there are only a handful of Burdakin Blue and Morenci Orange locomotives still around....
