Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week's the theme is Show Us Where You've Been This Week. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Well, this speaks for itself! Show Us Where You've Been This Week

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday Sunset and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!

I've been on the kitchen floor, giving it the cleaning it badly needs–an incredibly long job. This takes several scrubbings. I do it in sections, and I'm not through. The material is Marmoleum. Other players here are a brush and a bowl containing a diluted liquid made specifically for Marmoleum, posed on one of the clean parts.

I've been in my kitchen shooting that handbag I've made as a tester for a bag designer and I'm supposed to show the testers how to get good photos with a flash without harsh shadows!. Basically I show the continuous paper background jammed in the door of my fridge and placed on top of a my small kitchen cart/island with my off camera flash turned away from the subject at a a certain angle and bounced off the ceiling. Really exciting stuff for some bag makers who are clueless about shooting. All they do is shoot with their cell phones and use some apps to remove some cluttered and ugly backgrounds and I am supposed to provide some basic tutorials on how to shoot with any camera etc. Really exciting

Depending on the light sources in their kitchens, you may have to teach them about white balance, too. There may be no end to it. I hope your fee includes time spent on cluing in the clients.

Oh, there's no fee; it's all free and voluntary tutorials provide by me. I can't muddy up their brains with white balance and such. They're just bag testers and not bad at it buy their photography is who knows where. Not going to run a semester on Basic Shooting 101. Just nope :p

Been to town, but that was a disappointment, so went out to the ranch to see how the haying was going. The boys said they were pretty busy making hay while the sun shined, sorta like a lot of folks these days. Gotta love them farm boy's keen sense of humor. Precious.:-D:-D

this one is of a house we thought was being renovated, but is slowly being left to the elements to destroy:

John, you really need to get outdoors more. It beats sitting around inside!
